New to the Church

If you are new to church, it can be a daunting experience coming for the first time and not knowing what to expect, so let us set your mind at rest.

When you come to Uxbridge Road Tabernacle, you will find a warm and friendly fellowship of Christians, from all walks of life and many different countries. We worship God with reverence and respect, just as the early church did 2000 years ago.

We sing traditional hymns, have readings from the Bible, prayers and an expository sermon which lasts approximately 30 minutes. The sermon is designed to help us understand the Bible and what it says to us all in this present age.

Our Aim

Our aim is to help you understand God’s Word for yourself. We endeavour to answer the vitally important questions of life (i.e. the meaning and purpose of life; death and where we go after death; can we know there is a God; etc).

The Bible does have the answers and we want to help you find them for yourself so that you can come to know the Lord Jesus Christ, our wonderful Saviour and friend personally.

You are welcome to come to any of our public services. But the gospel service, which is held every Sunday at 11:15 a.m. and lasts for approximately 1 hour, is probably the one you will find most helpful.

The Bible says ‘Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near’ (Isaiah ch.55 v.6) Come and hear the Gospel this Sunday.

If you are unable to attend our services we do have various resources which will help you.

A Christian New to the Church

If you are a Christian attending our church for the first time, we can assure you of a warm welcome. We have a very friendly fellowship who love to meet and worship with brothers and sisters in Christ.

We seek to make our service of worship reverent, God honouring and to the glory of God as set out in His Word. Our services are free from the excesses of man-centred forms of worship so prevalent in our day, which means that you should never leave our church feeling embarrassed or upset by the worship that you have participated in.

Our services include traditional hymns, Bible readings, prayers and a sermon lasting about 30 minutes which is expository in nature.
